Neijiang City is located in the southeast of Sichuan Province, in the middle part of the lower Tuojiang River. The geographical coordinates span 29°11 '~30°2' north latitude, 104°16 '~105°26' east longitude; It is adjacent to Chongqing in the east, Luzhou in the south, Zigong in the west, Meishan City in the northwest and Ziyang City in the north. Eastern Han Jian County, once known as Han 'an, Zhongjiang, has a history of more than 2000 years. It now has jurisdiction over 2 districts, 3 counties and Neijiang Economic Development Zone, covering an area of 5,385.46 k square meters, with a registered population of 4,278,501. Due to the rich sugarcane, preserves, sugar production in its peak period accounted for 68% of the whole Sichuan, 26% of the country, so it is known as the "sweet city".
Neijiang is one of the national highway transportation main hubs planned by the Ministry of Transport, the second largest transportation hub in Sichuan Province and an important interchange point of southwest land transportation. It is the central city of Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone, known as the "throat of southern Sichuan" and "Bashu Fortress". It has formed a north-south, east-west, criss-cross, water, land and air transport network. With the opening of Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway, Neijiang has been integrated into the "Chengdu-Chongqing half-hour economic circle".
Neijiang is the national commodity grain production base, the main producing area of grain and cash crops in the province and the pilot city of aquatic industrialization. Taroke Blood Orange, Dongjian, seven star pepper, Zhou radish, lemon and other 17 varieties won the title of pollution free products, "Longchangsu" orchid or National Geographic indication certification trademark, "Taroke Blood Orange" in Zizhong passed the national green food certification, "Zizhong Catfish" and "Yong 'an white mullet" won the National Geographic iconic products.
Neijiang is not only the old industrial base of Sichuan, but also the supporting base and non-staple food supply base for the pillar industries of Chengdu and Chongqing. It has formed the pillar industries of vanadium titanium steel, food and beverage, machinery and auto parts, etc. China is accelerating the construction of five new industrial bases, including the comprehensive utilization base of vanadium and titanium resources in Western China, China's CFB Power Station Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Demonstration Base, China's "Urban Mineral Resources" demonstration base, China's Automobile (motorcycle) Parts Manufacturing Base, and the Western electronic information Industry supporting base.
